The HACKLES PLIER cottarelli is a simple but extremely effective product and will allow you to easily wrap the feathers on the hook during the fly tying phase. Through the special brass insert you can adjust the pressure of the plier. Moving the regulator towards the handle of the fly tying tool will give you a light grip, while moving it towards the tip will give you a very strong grip.

This HACKLES PLIERS is a very smart and unique accessory, like all the products made by Franco Cottarelli. It allows you to wrap the feathers on the hook with extreme effectiveness without the risk that they can be removed from the pliers.

Through a cylindrical brass insert (see photo) it is possible to adjust the pressure of the pliers. By sliding this cylinder towards the handle you will obtain a delicate grip while moving it towards the tip you will have a very strong grip, and the risk that the feather can free itself from the grip during the wrapping phase is practically reduced to zero.
